A.N.N.E. teaser trailer for Wii U

A.N.N.E. is a Kickstarted game by developer gamesbymo. A new trailer featuring this WiiU downloadable title for the eShop was released today, check it out:

I love the music and the 8-bit inspired art-style. A.N.N.E. is a hybrid platformer schmup with RPG elements. It will also be releasing on computers (PC/Mac/Linux).

My Star Kickstarters of 2013

It seems that 2013 was the year of Kickstarter, at least for me. I backed quite a few video games, and couple of board games too. Whether you agree or disagree with the model, you can't argue with the fact that the number and size and scope of projects on Kickstarter is increasing.

You can always take a look at the sidebar to see which board game or video game project has currently caught my attention.

Here are some of the projects that I put a 'star' on this year.

Kickstarter project CANDLE confirmed for Wii U

Great news, the indie game in development by Teku Studios in Spain is confirmed to be coming to the Wii U eShop. Teku posted an update to their kickstarter today letting us know the good news! They love Nintendo, and reached out to them with their game, and Nintendo responded by granting them Wii U Developer status and a development kit.

You can check out the campaign here, or by going to the sidebar section to the left.

Buddy & Me - kickstarter

A cel-shaded, Pacific Northwest inspired runner about a kid and his giant furry companion... Buddy & Me has charm oozing out of all its pores. Planned for iOS and Android, but possibly coming to Wii U if the stretch goal is met, this game deserves a look.

Death Inc. Kickstarter releases a game demo for everyone!

Death Inc. has a demo. This is one of those Kickstarter games that I'm watching with interest. Coming from Ambient Studios, which is made up of former devs from games Little Big Planet, Fable, Burnout and Need for Speed, this whimsical game has you playing the part of Death, and spreading the plague around the town.

They are currently as of this writing at 20% of their funding, with 15 days to go. You can check out their playable demo here and see if it's something you'd like to support. Please do if it tickles your fancy, as innovative creative games like these deserve to be funded.
