An End to Summer, and Focusing on the Negative

Well. I am not well today. I am just a little less than "okay," to quote a Danish speaker I viewed yesterday.

This is the final day of Summer Break. Back to work tomorrow. A new school year, a new position, a new boss, and many new people working around me. All this new stuff! And yet, I don't think the unknown is what's hanging me low today.

Summers are filled with happiness, freedom, pleasurable experiences, but contain an equal amount of frustration, sadness, and a sense of being tied down to the responsibilities of this stage in my life. I look back on not what I HAVE done, but what I wish I COULD HAVE done. I look not on what HAS been accomplished, and instead at what I wish HAD been accomplished.

So now, I will try to get some more things done, and hope THAT is what I find some pleasure in.

On the gaming side, I finished Hollow Knight, Saturday Morning RPG, OPUS: The Day We Found Earth, Mega Man 7 and 8, Splatoon's Octoling Expansion and the short, but very replayable Kamiko.

This was the "Summer of Streaming" for me, and my focus on Twitch streaming resulted in that little piece of gamer cred known as Twitch Affiliate Status. I intend to write a bit more about my thoughts of the Twitch Community another time.
